Renata Barbosa

Renata Barbosa is a Brazilian PhD candidate of Maastricht University and University of State of Rio de Janeiro. Her research topic is political crimes and its relation to extradition, amnesties and serious politically motivated crimes, such as terrorism and international crimes.

She also has experience in clerking for the Public Defenders’ Office, teaching, as well as working as a Blue Book trainee at the European Commission. Personally, she is interested in the boundaries between Criminal Law and Human Rights.
