Nicola Recchia


Nicola Recchia (1988) is a Post-doc researcher in criminal law at the Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main (Germany).

He graduated in Law at the University of Salento (Italy) in 2012 and obtained an LL.M. at the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich (Germany) in 2014. In 2017 he obtained a Ph.D. in Criminal Law from the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich (Germany) and the University of Ferrara (Italy). He has then worked as a Post-doc researcher at the University of Ferrara (Italy) in 2017 and at the Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main (Germany) from 2018.

His main research interests are the relationship between criminal law and constitutional law, European criminal law and criminal law in the framework of international human rights law.  

He first joined the German National Group of the AIDP as a Young Penalist in 2013 and has always been a member of the Association ever since.
