Francesco Mazzacuva


Born in 1985, he is Associate Professor in Criminal Law at the University of Parma, where he obtained a Ph.D. in 2012 and was also Post-Doc researcher from 2014 to 2016 and Researcher from 2019 to 2022. From 2016 to 2019 he was judge and served in the Court of Modena.

In his research activity, he has been Visiting Scholar at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (2009), at the Queen Mary University of London (2014), at the University of Frankfurt (2022) and also several times Visiting Researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut for foreign and international criminal law (2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017). In 2010, he has been also a Trainee at the European Court of Human Rights.

He has been the representative of the Young Penalists of the AIDP - Italian Group since 2015.
